Player ranking ladder

Using a "spreadsheet" or something similar which will rank 50 participants based on skill and competition, much like a ladder challenge for tennis players.
It works like this using a "if/then" rule.
Say this is the ranking for 10 participants.
1. Don Nixon
2. Joe Nixon
3. Angy Nixon
4. Zella Nixon
5. Brandon Mack
6. Ben Lupton
7. Scott Sander
8. Maren Sander
9. Al Cairns
and
10. Dana Nixon
All of them have a unique id# so if there is a specific activity where there is a doubles team, each team would have a unique number as well.
If/when Ben Lupton plays Joe Nixon and wins, the ranking order changes to
1. Don Nixon
6. Ben Lupton
2. Joe Nixon
3. Angy Nixon
4. Zella Nixon
5. Brandon Mack
7. Scott Sander
8. Maren Sander
9. Al Cairns
and
10. Dana Nixon
and it is renumbered to be:
1. Don Nixon
2. Ben Lupton
3. Joe Nixon
4. Angy Nixon
5. Zella Nixon
6. Brandon Mack
7. Scott Sander
8. Maren Sander
9. Al Cairns
and
10. Dana Nixon
Suspect it could be done with an app and all I need is the updated lists of players in the new ranking order.
The app would carry the unique player id# and would be time sensitive when the change report is delivered.
